Ali Mangera
Co-Founder & Coach
Ali brings extensive Muay Thai training and coaching experience, combining solid technical knowledge with a genuine passion for helping people learn, improve and reach their potential. His coaching centres on strong fundamentals — stance, guard, balance, footwork and clean striking mechanics — giving students a reliable base whether they’re completely new to Muay Thai or looking to advance their training.
His sessions blend practical combinations with stretching, mobility work, running drills and structured technique rounds. Each element is designed to build strength, fitness, confidence and efficient movement, helping students understand how proper mechanics translate into power, timing and control. Ali emphasises repetition, rhythm and clear progression, ensuring students refine their basics before layering more advanced skills.
With a background in Professional Development, Ali excels at breaking techniques down into simple, digestible steps. He communicates with clarity, patience and purpose, helping every student progress at their own pace while maintaining high technical standards. His coaching style supports both personal growth and skill development, creating an environment where people feel encouraged, capable and motivated to keep improving.
Farouk Ougradar

Faz is a cornerstone of LGNDS Academy, bringing nearly 30 years of experience, leadership and coaching expertise. As Co‑Founder, he helped shape the academy’s values of discipline, respect and community; his calm fundamentals‑focused coaching style reflects decades of hands‑on knowledge and genuine passion for developing others.
With a professional background as a school Site Supervisor, Faz is known for his organisation, reliability and ability to manage people and environments with confidence. His varied career from running his own businesses to working in an opticians gives him a practical people‑centred approach that strengthens his role on the mats.
At LGNDS, Faz guides members of all ages with steady encouragement and clear instruction, serving as a mentor figure for both students and coaches. Outside the academy, he enjoys walking, the gym, gardening and caring for his pond fish — a hobby that shows his patience, attention to detail and love for peaceful outdoor spaces.

Saleha Kassam

Sal has over 15 years of experience working with young people and the wider community, and she’s always been passionate about helping others build confidence and self‑belief. As a Head of Year in a local school, she supports students through academic, social and personal challenges, guiding them with patience, structure and genuine care. Her work centres on helping young people recognise their strengths, develop resilience and reach their full potential — qualities she carries directly into her coaching, especially when empowering women and girls to feel confident in themselves.
At LGNDS Academy, Sal brings that same energy into Muay Thai, seeing it as far more than physical training. For her, it’s a platform for growth, belonging and positive change. She focuses on creating a supportive environment where members feel safe, encouraged and motivated, whether they’re stepping onto the mats for the first time or pushing themselves to new levels. As a Veteran Coach, Moh guides members of all ages with calm confidence, supporting beginners while refining the technique of seasoned fighters. Younger coaches naturally look to him for mentorship not just for skill, but for communication, composure and leadership. His sessions carry a rhythm and clarity that reflect his experience.
Outside the academy, Moh enjoys hiking, camping and various ball sports. He’s also a keen foodie, always exploring new flavours and discovering fresh food spots — often becoming the team’s go‑to for post‑training recommendations.
Frazer Douglas
Veteran Coach
Frazer is one of LGNDS Academy’s most seasoned and respected coaches, bringing over 40 years of experience as a retired police officer to the mats. His background in law enforcement has shaped a coaching style defined by composure, discipline and an unwavering commitment to helping others grow. Frazer’s presence in the academy is steady and reassuring - the kind of coach whose calm authority can settle a room, sharpen focus and elevate the standard of any session.

Anisha Kalu
Engagement Lead & Associate Coach
Anisha is at the centre of member engagement at LGNDS Academy, known for her warm communication style and ability to build strong relationships with parents, members and the wider community. With a background in sales and customer service coaching, she brings confidence, organisation and a natural talent for connecting with people, helping create a welcoming and supportive environment across the academy.
As Engagement Lead, Anisha ensures families feel informed, involved and valued. In her role as Associate Coach, she supports younger members on the mats and also assists within the ladies’ sessions, offering encouragement, structure and a positive presence wherever she’s needed.
Outside the academy, Anisha loves travelling and long walks - hobbies that reflect her curiosity, energy and love for new experiences.
Hawa Makda
Front Desk Supervisor & Associate Coach
Hawa is the welcoming face of LGNDS Academy, supporting parents, younger members and assisting with the ladies’ sessions. With a background in admin and SEN, she brings patience, structure and understanding to every interaction. As Front Desk Supervisor, she keeps daily operations running smoothly. in her role as an Associate Coach she helps younger children settle in, build confidence and enjoy their training. Outside the academy, she’s a dedicated hobby baker with a creative touch that carries into everything she does.
Hafsah Khonat
Associate Coach
Hafsah is a valued member of the LGNDS Academy coaching team, known for her calm presence, clear communication and ability to support members across both children’s and ladies’ classes. She brings a thoughtful, organised approach to every session, helping younger members build confidence while providing steady encouragement within the ladies’ programme.
Outside the academy, Hafsah is an Audit Apprentice at a top‑four firm, balancing professional discipline with her passion for coaching. Her hobbies include golf range sessions, diamond painting and exploring new coffee shops reflecting her mix of creativity, focus and love for discovering new experiences.
